Chiropractic Therapy
Chiropractic is an ever expanding
and cost-effective branch of the
health care profession concerned
with correction of
neuromusculoskeletal injuries of the
spine and extremities (i.e.
shoulder, knee, wrist).
Chiropractors are primary health
care practitioners that utilize
conservative, non-invasive
treatments such as joint
manipulation, massage, physical
modalities (i.e. ultrasound,
electrical muscle stimulation, low
energy laser), Active Release
Technique ® (ART®) and exercises to
name a few, depending on the injury.
Dr. Erin A. White is also a
certified kinesiologist with an
interest in implementing customized,
active exercise rehabilitation
programs. Our patients include
athletes, motor vehicle accident

Custom Fit Orthotics
Custom fit orthotics are specialized
insoles made to correct your
specific foot, knee, hip or low back
condition. Orthotics work on the
feet similar to the way braces work
on the teeth - by exerting gentle,
consistent pressure to bring foot
muscles and bones into proper
functioning position. They fit
comfortably in shoes, boots, skates
etc. and are usually made of molded
thermoplastic. The orthotics are
made from precise, customized
impressions taken from your feet.
The symptoms of faulty foot and
lower limb mechanics include:
localized foot pain, bunions, arch
and heel pain, leg and knee pain and
hip and back pain. Orthotics are not
for everyone but conditions that may
be improved with custom fit
orthotics include: shin splints,
plantar fasciitis, Jumper's knee
(tendonitis), iliotibial band
syndrome, metatarsalgia, diabetic
neuropathy, low back pain and hip
tendonitis to name a few. After a
thorough biomechanical exam and gait
analysis Dr. White can determine if
orthotics may help you.
Kinesiology Rehabilitation

functions and moves. A

Kinesio Taping
Kinesio Taping is a very popular and
effective form of treatment for many
conditions. Kinesiotape is a
specially-designed, heat-sensitive
tape that is wrapped around the
muscles and offers the patient or
athlete extra support and stability
during rehabilitation. By combining
the motion of the muscles and the
stretch component of the tape,
Kinesiotaping enhances the natural
healing power of the body. This
therapy originated in Japan and the
results are incredible.
Kinesiotape can be used for various
pains and disorders, as a preventive
measure for injury and for
rehabilitation. Taping will support
muscles before and after exercise.
For athletes, it is possible to
treat a joint injury while
protecting it by using Kinesiotape
in conjunction with conventional
sports taping.
You may have seen Kinesio Taping,
the bright orange, blue or pink tape
on many Olympic athletes (i.e. beach
volleyball players) during the
recent Beijing games.
Kinesio Taping can be used for a
range of conditions such as:
Achilles tendonitis, Low Back Pain,
Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, tennis
elbow, shin splints, plantar
fasciitis, patellar-femoral syndrome
etc.

Taping, check out the website
